Documentary on Vidwan A. Narayana Iyer

We are delighted to present "Portrait of a Guru", a short documentary on Vidwan A. Narayana Iyer, father and guru of Prof. T. N. Krishnan. This film was originally aired at the Parampara function which was held in Chennai in December 2007.

Prof. T. N. Krishnan, Dr. N. Rajam, and Pt. Narayan Ganesh present Parampara - a family musical event with three generations of performing musicians, dedicated to the memory of their father and guru, the late Vidwan Shri A. Narayana Iyer, for his extraordinary contribution to Indian classical music.

At 6:30PM, on December 6th 2007, at the Music Academy, TTK Road, Chennai.

Dr. S.S. Badrinath, Chairman Emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya, will be the distinguished guest of the event.

T. N. Krishnan Concert in Sacramento, California

Prof. T. N. Krishnan will be performing in Sacramento, California on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 8PM. The program is presented by Thyagaraja Nilayam and CSUS World Music Club of Sacramento, and will take place at the Capistrano Music Recital Hall in California State University, Sacramento.

Prof. Krishnan will be joined by his son Sriram Krishnan on the Violin, and Shriram Brahmanandam on the mridangam.
